All our lives long
All our lives long we long for our destruction
All our lives long we long for our destruction. We long for the destruction of our lives, our thoughts, feelings and wishes Although we are afraid of what will happen after the destruction. Will there be another creation that destroys us again? All our lives long we long for our destruction. Because we already are destroyed and want to be extinguished, redeemed. We long for the end of our existence. The end of this curse. The end of this senseless, meaningless “life” we seem to depend on. All our lives long we long for our destruction. Nevertheless we are afraid of it, too. We are afraid of destruction although it’s more fun than creation. We love and enjoy destroying. Especially destroying ourselves and others. All our lives long we long for our destruction. Although we know we are only here for a little while. But patience is not our style. |

It is true - and is not. We know that we do not last forever. And there is a voice in our head which everytime we do our health or our temper no good, whispers: "So what? I have to die anyway." There is no longing for destruction, but to get the most out of life before it is over. However, in many cases, this "getting the most out of it" may lead to not intended self-destruction.
