with fear I hurried to your bed
your murderers awaited me I hear they burried just your head and let the body out to see one day, one day, we'll rise again no sacrifice was lost in vain my dearest love was slain in pain I curse the lands of the bloody stain along with me our sons survived our daughters waving future dreams the morning birds have just arrived there will be songs, no grief, no screams one day, one night, we'll see again no barren battlefield there is my love, my heart was lost in time still waiting for your tender kiss betrayed we open up our eyes the devil rode beside the knights but morrow is the night's advice the corpse's bride steps into light our hour comes, I see it clear I hear, you're near and far from fear one day is now and yet and here no tear to shed, just let it tear |

This poem has a terrific flow. And like so many poems here, it has remained uncommented until now. A real shame. You follow the structure of a classic ballad and draw the reader right into the action with your imagery. I really enjoyed reading your poem. Greetings from Schreibfan
