Can I breathe for the last time today
For a breath taken alone could possibly be none at all
In my mind I am dreaming
This moment should never end
My soul a void hungry for this solemn silence
A candle flickering softly in the movement
Of breath
Of air
Of life
Do I know it must end
Leave this connection with new strength
Glad to have met you
Glad to have you on my side
For what was once a stranger
Is now (hopefully) a friend for life
