The power of words

A master helding an ailing child
Uttering words so gentle and mild
Then returned the child to parental embrace
"Piece by piece, it shall heal at pace!"

A stranger watched this with doubtful eyes
Disbelieving, questioning the wise:
"How can a child, without remedy
Heal with mere words - a charlatanry?"

The master sharply retorted then:
"Understand, you fool, before you condemn!"
The stranger, insulted, to anger near
Almost clashed with the master so austere

"If a single sentence excites you so much
Why doubting word's power in a healing touch?"
The master spoke as the ancients had done
In the magic of words, from the heart they run
