Yearning for peace

I feel so cold.
got no excuse.
Maybe I should
ignore the truth.

I lost my path.
All my colours.
Been seeking hope
beneath my pillows.

And as the sun shall rise,
it's the light I strive to find.
But as the world turns black again
I know the darkness will remain.

I'm trapped in fear.
There is no room
for anyone
to catch my tears.

Alone I stand
in between the crowd.
No one will hear me
when I shout out loud.

And when the rain shall fall like stones.
I will not fight against the cold.
I will give myself in it
and find redemption resting in peace.
