Standard Dear Mr Bush

So, hier mein Gedicht mit dem Titel "Dear Mr Bush", hab ich irgendwann im März geschrieben...

Dear Mr Bush,

I will not introduce myself,
for you might persecute me as a terrorist.
But I got something I wanna ask you,
Do you really know what terror is?
See, the problem is, you obviously don’t
And watching shit from a distance
That makes me fucking sick to my stomach.
You are in the midst of a war –
A war on terror – that’s what you say.
But it’s still civilians that gotta pay it in blood.
How can you explain that, I wonder?
As I see a dead child lying in the mud
I can not believe she was a terrorist.
In a world where the average low-ranked soldier
Is nothing more than “human material”
Amidst tanks, missiles, aircraft and
The infamous wepaons of mass destruction –
Of which, by the way, no nation or group on earth
Possesses more than the United States do –
It is you who has started a modern-day crusade
As a reaction to the Holy War the terrorist leaders
Have been proclaiming for quite some time now.
Damn.
Why are you so fucking ignorant?
We are caught in a war of good versus evil –
Yet I do not know who is who.
By the way, do you?
See, a crusade seems like an anachronism to me
As we live in the 21st century.
Damn.
Are you really that fucking ignorant?
Mr President, stop the madness before it is too late
And you might still have time to reflect on
One of the best decisions that you will ever have made.
If we keep fighting terrorism in battlefields
The day will come
That Holy War and crusades
Get all of humanity done.

Yours faithfully,

A sincere person stating his view
