I Love This Game

I pull up.
There goes another dream
flying high in the air.

Slowly it flies,
seconds turn to hours
as I feel invincible.

I watch it fly,
rotating in the air around
its own axis.

Nothing of doubt
that could shatter my
amazement right now.

It’s starting to fall,
fall towards the hole it is
supposed to end up in.

Seconds turn to
nothing
as it’s all or nothing.

There it goes running
around the rim, as if
thinking “Should I go in?”

It rims out after
two seconds
that turned to hours.

Nothing of doubt –
Nothing of victory.
But I still love this game!
