You look tired
You look tired Longing for sleep Your exhausted body desires a bed You look tired Your eyes are so weak They are blood-shot They are red You look tired I will kiss you goodnight Your tears will let your heart fall asleep You look tired You don't have to hide When I touch your frozen skin it makes your flesh creep You look tired Don't be afraid Close your eyes and you'll feel free You look tired Your soul is as dark as the shade that blacks out the light of life in me You look tired Lay yourself down My sweet lullaby will make you rest in peace You look tired My queen without a crown I’ll watch you sleeping while I’m down on my knees You look tired Say your prayer Your bed is made of ebony You look tired Embrace your narcotic slayer I will cover you with dignity You look tired Sweet dreams will awake your soul Your breath will be paralysed You look tired Your innocence is what they stole Your consciousness is hypnotized You look tired Your pain runs deep Anaesthetizing you is my duty You look tired I will put you to sleep You are my sleeping beauty |
