Where is the love?

We draw our own conclusions and so keenly disagree
Judging those we think are blind, because we cannot see
Our words are full of praise but then our hearts turn into stone
Sanctioning sinners, making them feel all alone

Love has a thousand meanings and you choose what suits you best
Hardly unconditional, feeling better than the rest
Finding safety in the law and earning favors doing good
The Bible misinterpreted und poorly understood

He said that without love our faith is not worth anything
Just a clanging cymbal hurting people with our sting
We take the place of God and think we're citizens of heaven
Yet it's very hard forgiving seventy times seven

Imagine living in a place where honor is your name
Beautifully respected, no fear or guilt or shame
A place where souls are lifted up and all intentions pure
A place where those who need to judge will find the one, true cure

We'll recognize our blindness and at last in truth we'll see
That we're are all one and all are worthy, sinners, saints and me
He said it's not for us to judge but rather to inspire
Only love will change the world and this we should desire!

We owe each other nothing more than love, grace and peace
We only find true humbleness when we are on our knees
