Red Cloud

There’s a fear of disappointment
And a fear of being alone
I might bleed from the thorns of the roses
I might never find a home
I might see the alpenglow of the mountains of love
I might shout and don’t hear an echo
I might carry a heavy emptiness
I might live my life with shadows
I smell the lilac and the oleander
I receive the message they’re sending
Red clouds that are reflected in the lake
Got the shape of a heart and I’m tangling
In thoughts that I could fly with them
And with her until my last day
and that this time I won’t come down anymore
and the red cloud won’t turn into rain
