Moments

Surrounded by friends, with a beer in my hand
On a warm summer evening out in the fields
Rocking a party, what more can I demand?
The pain wept away by the power joy wields.
If only I could live forever in that moment.

I’m laying in the grass, same place as before
But three years of changes just went by
I am alone now, no friends with me anymore
The pain makes me wish that I could just die.

Left all alone, and I can not turn back the time
So close to the edge, I start losing my mind.
